I guess I should say after reading the other two responses that my car is a '93. Later cars with their more complicated computer may require more fiddling. Also, my car's computer was programed for a manual gearbox and I didn't have to convert. BTW, swapping in an Explorer or Mountainer drivetrain wouldn't be allowed in California. It may not be in your state. Be sure to check.
