ok thanks guys. I am not really keen on pulling the intake manifold again to get at the throttle body. I probably should have paid more attention to it when I had it all out but I didn't connect the dots. I will see what I can clean insitu by pulling intake air tube.

If I end up replacing the throttle body myself, do I need Volvo to program?
