Advice: How do I deal with this case 850 1993

Folks,

I am wondering if I could get some advice. Two months back I had my Timing belt and Serp belt replaced in my 93 850 GLT. Because of the disastrous consequences that can occur from not replacing these parts I have been very good about chaning this.

As I moved I went to a new mechanic. He only does Volvos and SAABs and he is known to be good. However, couple of days back as I was driving my Timing Belt broke and the systems of "resistance free" engine start tell me that the engine is FRIED.

I cannot help but wonder why the timing belt lasted only two months. I want to bring this up with the mechanic and perhaps discuss what happend and see what he can do for me.

Is this a loosing battle? Should I just forget it. Any thoughts would be helpful.
