Advice: How do I deal with this case 850 1993

Unless you can prove that the old mechanic did not really change the belt you're probably out of luck. Is the old belt available? You should look at it and see if it is only two months old.

If the belt was changed but failed two months later you could check into the belt manufacturers warranty, but I suspect that would only get you a free belt.
