Re: Recentering the steering wheel 850 1996

I am quite surprised they can't get it right. The procedure is not special:

1) Align (using a laser alignment system). Take note of front toe-in settings ie make sure they retain the print-out.

2) Drive to ensure you are happy that car fundamentally tracks straight.

3) Put car back on hoist, re-attach alignment gear on front wheels.

4) Center steering wheel and clamp (they have a crude device that usually fits against brake pedal and hooks onto bottom of steering wheel rim to hold it's position)

5) Adjust tie-rods to bring front toe-in back to spec.

Voila.
