Spark plugs

1) Klaus: thank you. Spent 1.5 hrs yesterday scowering the archives to learn what plugs I should put in the '98 V70 T5. Maybe 70% of what I read suggested OEM; the rest liked Platinum. So based upon testimonials of copper wearing out quickly in the T5, I was planning on going with platinum. But if replacing worn out OEM plugs every 20K is what it takes to avoid a valve job, I'll buy that insurance. Thanks for recognizing this pattern and posting on it.

2) Tina: made the drive from NJ to AZ a few weeks ago. Checked weather.com Interstate Forecast along I-80 & I-40 a few days before the trip (weather.com > driving > interstate forecast. Teriffic resource for long trips). Was extremely fortunate...had no weather to contend with. This time of the year, it's a crap shoot. At the first sign of trouble, I'd take Klaus's advice and retreat to I-40. If time allows, the PCH would make for a nice last leg. :)
