I can hear the pump running. I pulled the plugs. They are black and sooty, but not wet. I cleaned them and it still doesn't fire. When I cranked for 60 seconds as you suggested, I can smell fuel.I don't know if there is intake suction. Once I put the starting fluid in, I don't get too close. I have lost a couple of eyebrows doing that. I checked spark with a cheap spark tester. It has been suggested that the spark it indicated might not be the real deal. I checked again today after cleaning the plugs and it showed no spark. I am looking at ignition problems.
As far as the odometer. IPD has a kit for about $30 with a DVD. Any special tools that I'll need? I was going to order the kit when the weather warms up. It's too cold in CT for that kind of job. I did the timing belt as soon as I bought the car.
