Thanks all for responses... Our Turbo's whistle both and my wife consider quite loud, so I will as suggested check all hoses and connections. Are loose hoses the only cause for a Turbo to whistle? So the consensus is that a fully functional 850 Turbo should have no perceptible whistle or at the most a very feint whistle as it spools up. The assumption then is that when an 850 Turbo was new there would be no Turbo whistle?
