advice on possible purchase.... pass 850

Yeah go look on Ebay. The 850 you're looking at would've sold for $500. Tell the "dealer" you'll take it for $500 IF he puts new tires on it. But honestly you're looking at a huge headache. I would be looking for another rear-wheel-drive car rather than a high mileage front-wheel-drive car. Take a look at some BMW's or something.
