V70; my first lemon V70-XC70 1999

From about 130K these cars have to be maintained or you have lots of expensive repairs. The ETM is covered by a Volvo warranty for 10 years or 200K miles, refundable if you've already paid for it. Find out from the dealer on how to get your $$ back. The ABS module doesn't have to be replaced. There's a guy here (Victor Rocha) who rebuilds them (as he did mine last year) for a total cost of $150. The MAF is expensive, but if you know where to buy one you can save at least $50 on what you spent. Power windows too could be problematic on these cars, but I can buy the master window controller and change it out myself for $150 day after day after day. The inside cabin temp sensor can also be replaced and then it will work great. I feel very comfortable in my '98 (on year older than yours) and neither freeze or get too hot. So, it depends on if you know where to buy the parts, who can repair what and learn to do what you can yourself and these cars last and last and last and are no more costly than other nice vehicles.
