Common failure item. Get a new one from Volvo or fcp---they also have genuine Volvo. You will need to remove the door panel and a couple of 10 mm nuts from the door and the torx from the car frame. Not a bad job. Instructions on Bay 13 for most of the stuff or some of the books like Chiltons.
