If it is the mount, no need to weld. Simple repair on Ozbrick--I did this on my 850 in 45 minutes for no cost...

If it is the catch/spring mechanism in the door, another easy fix and FCP Groton has the part. Use Haynes manual for intructions on removing door panel.
