If the 5 cylinder is the same as an 850, the engine block drain is here: http://volvospeed.com/Repair/thermect.php

Draining from the bottom hose will drain just about all of it. Just remember to unscrew the cap to the overflow bottle.

I agree, that fluids need to be changed. And I am bad for not doing mine enough!
