core temperature sensor in Volvo 760 1990

Thanks Klaus,

I will call the service writer at the dealer tomorrow morning and stop him from putting in a new "core temperature sensor" whatever he means, because he could not give me a straight answer. He did not give me the error code, but I will ask for it. (I had to leave the car there because I did not have the time to wait for several hours for them to fix it.) I was also wondering how he could have known what the problem was when the tank and hose had not even been fixed.
I think they are under pressure from the administrators to get the maximum repairs from the customer! They even fixed my windshield wiper jets without putting any water in the reservoir! When I asked them how that had been possible... this guy got mad; he was the one who pulled the hose off the overflow and then blamed me because it was not tight enough. He went to the hospital to have his eyes flushed. I refused to deal with him and have another service writer... who does not know much, either, obviously.)
Thanks again.
Ilse
P.S. I do not know the garage you mention. I live in Riverside CA.
