A/C Problem S70 1999

Ok guys, I crawled under my car a few minutes ago and couldn't find the two wires that connect to any kind of brass fitting on my AC compressor which was mentioned on the volvospeed forums. The only wire I can see comes over the top of my compressor and into a very small black circuit type thing which is grounded to the compressor body then the wire continues out of the other side of the small black circuit thing and down behind the clutch. Could that be my thermal switch? Maybe since it is touching my compressor I am thinking that it measures the amount of heat on the compressor and breaks the circuit to engage the clutch. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
