`1995 850 concerns? 850

Speaking from my own experience and from what I remember reading here I'd say the '95 year seems to have more than it's share of tranny gremlins. So be sure your co-worker warms the tranny up really well with some freeway miles. Don't just drive it around the block a few times. Check for any slipage or hesitation when starting up from a stop and any loud clunks when shifting to reverse. Check the tranny fluid closly for any signs or burning. Check for a cabin air intake filter retrofit. If it's not there the ac evaporator is probably leaking. Could be anyway. Loosen the oil filler cap with the engine running. If the cap bounces around the PC system is plugged up. When was the timing belt last replaced? Should be every 70K miles.
