Nice car. I've read that the 96 and 97's are the best of the lot. It was the early ones that had corroding engines. Change the timing belt before due as they are prone to break. Reliability is questionable, but supposedly better in the later ones. Better reliability in an 850 or 940. V70 would also be nice, but I've heard their reliability is questionable too...

You might want to do some research in the 900 series section over in the RWD forum. Also, there is a pulldown on the upper right part of this page for a 700/900 FAQ (in Features) that is top-notch.

Definitely have it checked out by a pro as the other poster suggested!
