Thanks for the heads up on not removing the bevel gear. BTW, are you speaking from experience on this one?
Also, it's not my rear cam seal that's sprung a slow leak, it's the rear main. If I'm not mistaken the RMS is a ton of work and not something I would attempt on my own. Again the question though - will the seal definitely need to be replaced now that it's started weeping?
I've order the PCV kit from FCP and I hope it will be here by the weekend...
I took everything apart last weekend to check some of the hoses and clean them, and the rigid hose from the oil separator to the turbo inlet was broken. I don't know if I broke it or if it was already broken/cracked and sitting in there leaking - the larger one, it broke every time I touched it - but I had to do a real patch job to get it together and my car is running really poorly now, so I definitely NEED to do the PCV job.
The turbo drain seals are coming at the same time. I guess I'll have to attempt it on my own because there isn't anywhere local I can take it - indie or dealer.
