Hi,
the mirror fix is round, dia about 15cm, it has 4 guide taps and 8 lock clips on the back of the glas. i used a sharp knife pushed into the joint to help the power applied by fingers to get the first clips bend. even this way the power needed on fingers is considerable and one is afraid to break the glas.

If you have the possibility to work in warm garage it is a benefit as cold plastic breaks more easily.
The weak point is the heating cable connector joint with the heating element inside the glas plastic and it usually connects momentarily when bending the connector, never been able to repair tough.
