01 V70 Just stopped moving????

First time I heard of an M5 going dead. If you can shift to any gear while stopped with the engine running, the clutch might have gotten oil on it from a broken seal. Doesn't seem likely, does it? I cannot imagine a spline failing.

The trannys are quite robust.
