Update. The dealer told me the car would need a new transmission, that the clutch had been ruined by a leaking rear main...blah blah blah. I bet on an axle pulling out of the transmission...Thanks, Will. The new V70 will be delivered on Wednesday, loaded down with even more stuff that I can't believe will work for very long.
