If it is indeed bad gas, getting new plugs is not worth it. They will clean themselves nicely once the fuel is fresher. All of the dirt/water will be picked up by the pump first, so replacing the filter is OK


Did you look for a grosse manifold leak? Perhaps a vacuum line fell off?
