Dead Battery 850 1997

Personally, I would handcuff the kids with their arms behind their backs prior to letting them in the back seat. A few trips like this and they might respect the dome light.

You could also get them those LED headbands to wear in the car or provide maglights in the back seat storage area.

Doesn't Sears still sell a Die Hard Batter with the little red lever you turn for backup power if the battery dies? You could also carry one of those emergency power jump kits in the car.
