old tire question 850 1996

Good for you! A smart consumer always wins and a lesson for the rest of us, not all 'new' products are new. And New Old Stock should not be sold as 'new'.

Any part that contains soft (rubber like) components will degrade and harden over time, whether they are tires or brake master cylinders. Smaller parts that are enclosed in sealed plastic bags usually last longer by not being subjected to humidity changes, but tires are not stored that way.

Thank you,

Klaus
