Cruise Control 850 1995

Unbelievable, Klaus, I'm gonna thank your friend Cynthia for this.

I did the vacuum (sucking on the line)thing the other day. I was able to get the throttle to move. I was running out of ideas and time, so I took it to the shop as described above.

Soooo, I pick up my car, pay the diagnostic fee ($150) and head home, defeated.

Just as I roll over 95,000 miles (I happen to be looking down, weighing my options) I try the cruise again. For the first time since I've owned it, IT WORKED. With only about 15 miles to home, I try it several times, using all of the functions, and making sure the brake disengages it, all seem to work fine.

I know they disconnected the battery, I had to reset the radio code. Maybe that did it. Maybe just a loose plug somewhere, I don't know. They put it all back together one more time right before I got there to pick it up, so they hadn't driven it again since putting it back together.

I am so happy...even if it quits again, at least I will be a little further ahead knowing it should work mechanically.

Anyway, thanks again for all of the input, Klaus and all..

Greg
