CEL... Is it set now...? C70 1998

I visited Autozone this PM and they pulled the CEL code for me. it was like 04... or 14... something. The guys said it was an evap system code usually caused by a loose or bad gas cap. He said it should clear itself out shortly. I picked up a new cap and left with some hope that all was not lost on my c70.

I'm still unsure if the whole OBD II system is now "set" or if the CEL code just came from one sensor w/ the others still not being ready.

I've no idea how that works. If anyone could enlighten me, I'd be grateful.

Is there anything I can do to hasten the code getting cleared? I do not like seeing that CEL when I'm driving.
