Rather than risking a lot of oil blowing out the dipstick tube, I would think it might be safer to go to a pick-n-pull for an old oil filler cap, drill a hole in it and attach a tube you can route to under the car, securely anchored, of course. And make sure no metal filings are left to fall into the crankcase.
When you do replace the PCV system, don't forget to clean the IAC if you haven't already done that.
