Funny thing is, my mechanic just redid the brake hoses on my 94 850 with braided ones, full rebleed, new front rotors, front pads, and........... it's still soft.

Maybe our cars just don't have the same instant bite as say late 90s BMWs - a friend's previous 318i being my reference point.
