Gas gauge problem 850 1993

The smaller one is the fuel sender. It has just 2 wires. Perhaps the 1993 allowed for the sender to be unplugged at the sender? The 1994+ had the wires going over to the pump side where they connected into the loom. Do not cut any insulation if you can help it.

Just make sure you are well vented. Gasoline vapors are heavier than air, so they will not stream out, but it is the vapors that burn and not the liquid.
