Gas gauge problem 850 1993

Klaus,

Well, the deed is done... to my satisfaction anyhow.

I was unable to remove the metal tube from the sender. However, I did manage to get the bottom piece off, remove the float and look around. The coiled wire appeared to be remarkably free of gunk. I put the float back in and got it to finally travel quite freely after tipping the sender upside down numerous times.

I reinstalled the sender and did a quick test... 12 gallons!

Issue resolved and I thank you!
