Gislaveds are great SNOW tires. Good grip, shed snow well, etc. They are probably not as grippy on ice as Blizzaks and may be a bit lower performance on dry roads, but should wear way longer. I put some Nokian Hakkapeliitta Q snows on my Saab Viggen last year and am very pleased with both the wear and the handling. They are a bit wider than I'd like (205/50/16) but that's the smallest that'll fit this particular car due to big brakes. I have used Hakkapeliitta 1 on my 850 for 3 of the past 6 winters, and Gilslaved the other 3 (185/65/15) and they are both fantastic on snow, decent handling (not as good as the Q but better on deep snow, in part because of the narrower footprint) Blizzaks, by the way, only have the sticky good rubber for about half the tread depth and I have spoken to people that have burned thru them in a winter. Tire Rack says to use them as summer tires when they get worn half way. I for one don't want half worn winter tires as my summer tread, thank you.
