You might want to call Strandberg and see if they have some A&B boxes with good wiring. The wiring goes directly to the ECU and is very low voltage. Also, pull the ECU out of the box and check to see if the contacts are really clean, without water in the bottom of the box.

Or buy a cheap scanner for $25 and plug it into the port under the coin tray. That will get you the engine and tranny codes.
