Leaking gas 850 1997

Three weeks ago I stopped to take some gas. I pumped as much as possible. I made sure that tank is full. On the way home I noticed that gas is leaking underneath. Since than I pumped gas several time, but never full tank and did not noticed and leakage. Anybody experienced anything like that? Is there something like overfilling - any safety valve.
I was thinking maybe loose fuel pump gasket.
