I beleive your right that it is the check valve sticking open in cold weather. It also does'nt
happen when ran regularly. During the winter due to the salt on the roads here in Germany
where I work, I leave it parked and start it once a week or so and drive it when the roads are dry.
It was during these week of sitting that it would not start so believe the fuel lines had siphoned
back into the tank.

Thanks for your help and will check with a dealer here to see if it is still covered. Bruce
