My take is....a well seized sparkplug would probably heat up and expand at the same --or very close to the same-- rate as the cylinder head. Both expanding together would net no benefit.

But my fear of heating the head is that it may soften the aluminum and take the threads out of the head easier.

I do welcome everyone's input and ask others to comment.
