Sounds like you are having the exact same problem I am having on my '95 850 Turbo as well. I think we need to change our T-stats. I also posted a question on the BrickBoard wanting to know the cost of this so you can check any responses directed to this post: T-stat replacement & cost

PS: It seems like it's a common problem on our model.
