AC blows cold now!

Hi Klaus & P8,

So it's 80ºF today and I jumped the low pressure switch and the compressor engaged.

I filled it with +/- 16 oz refrigerant and it holds pressure at 42 psi.

Now, here's what I think happened. The fill hose I used was old and the "O" ring that seals the needle was leaking--big time. So, I guess that the system purged enough refrigerant for the pressostat the prevent the compressor from engaging.

I really hope that there is not a big leak and that I'll get a couple of years like last time.
