P0455 thrown and Check Engine Light on BUT.... V70-XC70

Yep, today's another scorcher. Just finished an oil change, I probably lost more sweat than I put oil in the car!

I might have just had an Eureka! moment. That big hose is the J-hose that goes bad on S70s all the time . You can replace that broken clip with a hose clamp, and it'll hold it tight, but the hose itself might be cracked. They're not too expensive, I think you can get them for 10-15 online, and probably 15-20 up at Koons.

I don't know if you've seen this, but here's a parts list of your emissions system. It might help you trace things.

I'd take replacing the canister off your list (at least for now) it hardly ever goes bad. If you replace the clamps and the J-hose and you're still having problems, I'd try topping off your tank. The fill tube on occasion cracks and if you get extra fuel in there it'll leak out. If you fill up and you can really smell vapors after you top it a little you might have to replace that tube.

If you're not driving it "like its stolen," are you really driving?
