FCR 313 V70-XC70

I have not cleared the 313... I am still trying to discover its nature. From threads I have read it *sounds* like the 313 will auto-clear pretty quickly, and thus what I am seeing is an actual ongoing problem that causes the 313 to continually reappear. Whether that's a bad PNP, a real transmission issue, or some other problem is a mystery.

I've emailed the Ilexa people to see if I can buy FCR without paying $30 in VAT... I guess it ultimately doesn't matter, I'll buy it anyway, but I'd rather save the $30 if I can. :)

Point being, if the 313 should clear itself and it isn't, I have some other problem I need to address and spend some dough there. If the 313 does not clear by itself and I need to do that, I need to spend some money on FCR. Just trying to determine where the money should go.

I use Autotap for most of my OBD needs and it's a great tool... it has analog graphs of most OBDII sensors and a great logging capability. It's been a real benefit to have around. Between it and FCR I think I can address all my needs, so I completely agree with that post you mentioned... FCR for Volvos and VCDS for VAG products are great tools, but not complete without something like Autotap around for visualizing OBDII data.

In any case, where I am now is trying to determine the nature/interaction of the TCM and CEL. Or just throw money at something. :)
