FCR 313 V70-XC70

Well, that is good news and bad news. Good news in that it explains why it's still there, bad news in that it probably means the PNP rebuild/replace was successful and the car still has issues. Issues like "transmission replacement issues." Shoulda kept quiet about being slightly let down by the ease of this "project."

I did replace the shifter interlock microswitch on Sunday. I think both the switch and solenoid were bad on my car - even jumping the switch resulted in no activity from the solenoid. I replaced both, now that works properly at least... although that's further evidence the PNP is totally fine and I've got summary transmission failure.

Gonna pick up FCR, reset the code, and then put some miles on it a cool night this week, see what codes/behavior returns.

Also, side note: I hit a few junkyards over the weekend looking for another shut off valve. Seems like very few 850s/x70s were built with that evap canister up front - virtually every one I saw was under the body. Perhaps this is the California emissions setup and mine (being from FL, originally) is a 50-state version? Dunno. Found one '96 850 with the fender-mount shut off valve, so I grabbed it. Just gonna hang onto it and see if my evap code comes back or not.

Thanks for all your help... we'll see what comes up next. :)
