Susan's car has an almost new battery and the alternator charges at about 13.95 volts.
But if it sits a couple days the battery is dead or so low that it triggers the alarm if you try to start it.
A friend had a similar problem on another 850 and got a partial diagnosis that the problem
was in the interior light circuit under fuse #15. He found that the problem disappeared if he
took #15 fuse out and operated without interior lights. Since he only drives the car
(a company car) during daylight he opted against more expensive diagnosis and is happy that way.
I plan to see what I can do on Susan's car today but she uses it a lot at night and would like
to have interior lights (assuming that her car's problem is also on fuse #15).
Have you guys experienced this? Any idea of a more user-friendly fix short of computerized diagnosis?
