If you found no problem with the gas cap - and you know it was put on correctly - and no one else could of messed it up, I would suggest that you do see a dealer.

One, an emissions problem could damage expensive parts - such as your cat.,, and

Two, if something in the emissions systems has failed, it could still be under warranty.

The drop in RPMs could be due to a misfire or an injector problem degrading the normal idle.

What is due for your 90k maintenance? Are you up on your other maintenance?
