Parking brake, what did I do wrong 850

That stinks.

When I had to replace the shorter of two emergency brake cables on our '88 745 GLE, I found one at Partsamillion for $14 - it was WAY cheap, so I bought it.

Talk about good fortune - It came in a plastic bag labeled Made in Sweden and appeared to be high quality - and it fit like a glove.

The only issue I had was there did not seem to be anywhere enough room to pull the emergency brakes apart behind the axle flange - since I had worked on a Mini, SAAB 93, MG 1100, and a Sprite in my youth, I dove in, and the job was far easier than I expected.
