Long time no post! Advice needed on 99 S70 engine..... S70 1999

I don't have an answer for the lifters.

The 4 spd tranny is fairly good. If the current fluid is dark brown, a gradual flush will do wonders. A machine flush will kill it. Just make sure there is enough ATF in it when you start the engine. A long rest, overnight, will show at least 2 quarts overfull if the engine is not started, which is why I said to add a quart over the full mark - don't want air getting to the pump!
