If you need to be cautious then yes, do 1 or 2 turns at a time and see how it goes--on my '95 850 turbo equipped w/a Wetterauer ECU, I had the thing at 7 turns and still no problems. This, of course, varies as each car came from the factory with variations. And don't worry about "blowing" your engine--the ECU won't let that happen. Worse that thing can happen is you set off a check engine light and at the worse, suffer some driveability problems. If this happens, just back off the number of turns, read the codes stored and reset the ECU.
