you can't start the car if you remove the ECU, likewise if you remove the fuse that connects the ECU.

just drive around post-wastegate tutn till you detect the turbo spool-up is "back to normal" ie. as it was pre-w/gate turn. THEN, remove the fuse after you've parked you car. fit it back on 2-3 minutes later. that shd do the trick.

... well it has for me for the last 3 days!

btw, from my experince, on 1st attempt, the post w/gate joy shd last 3-4 days or thereabouts.
