It really depends on what is most important to you. Do you prefer strictly a summer tire or an all-season tire? I like Michelin MXV4's. Best all-round tire there is in IMHO. I used them years ago. Then I veered off course and tried other brands. I have them on my 850 now and love them. Have about 55k on them and they still have plenty of life left in them. Best quality tire there is. Handle well, ride firmish but solid and very predictable on the road. Good in all conditions. Not a snow tire, but pretty good in snow and ice. Yes, they are expensive, but worth the money if you consider that with most other tires you'll go through 2 sets of tires before the Michelin's wear out... I've heard of Michelins going 100k!

I have also read good things about the new Michelin Defender but they are a "T" rated tire as opposed to the "H" rated MXV4's.
