I looked up Bridgestone here:

They didn't have the tire you mentioned RE970, it seems that tires are like
camera models, changing every 3 months.
I did see that the tires shown are low resistance tires "LRR" does that do
much for MPG? or is it more sales department "road apples"?
Also on the Bridgestone page I see that the expensive offering the
Turanza" has 12/32" tread to start with compared to 10/32" on the lower priced
tires that clam 65K miles. The warranty varies with the rating, H- 80K miles.
No wonder it gets better mileage there's more rubber to start with.
