Are you sure about that? I believe the air bags on Volvo's will not fire, if ANY single airbag or component is not signalling. I friend of mine removed the steering wheel on his S70, and put on a Momo wheel, and this caused all the air bags to stop functioning, as was shown in as an SRS warning light, and when he got into a T-bone accident-he was the t-bone-ie-the side airbags did not deploy.
