Question about shocks and struts and age

KlausC,

My only suggestion would be to remove one of the rear shocks and see.

My guess is that they are TOAST, especially if they are original.

I've done my V70 and S70, both 1998 models years, both over 140k and original, and they were shot.

I could push them down by hand easily and they would not come back up.

Struts are most likely shot as well, but again, you won't really know till you pull them out and see how bad.

Matt
